365 Restaurante - Son Brull Hotel & Spa

We found this place by checking the Michelin guide for the area, the restaurant is part of the Son Brull Hotel which is situated at the foot of the surrounding Mallorquin hillside. The building inside and out was beautiful, lots of character and charm with wide glass doors and exposed stonework bringing in a sense of nature and calm. We were greeted by the front of house who was lovely and given a choice of tables, it was very quiet as it was early-ish for dinner at 7.30pm on a Tuesday night at the start of the season. They brought us some water to start and asked if we wanted a wine list, we said we wanted the tasting menu with the paired wines but we fancied an aperitif, so they brought us a cocktail menu first. The cocktail list was well curated and had a good mix that would appeal to most paletes. I noticed that a lot of the cocktails used some of their inhouse ingredients made from citrus fruits and herbs from the surrounding land of the hotel. I picked the Son Brull Fizz which was marked as 'showcasing' a number of the aforementioned ingredients, my partner had the Side Car. Both cocktails were very well made and interesting, a little on the big side for an aperitif but we didn't ask about the size of them before ordering. Price of the cocktails was actually very reasonable given the ingredients and that fact we were in a high end hotel restaurant. For the food I had the 3/65 tasting menu and my partner had the vegetarian selection, there were 12 dishes in total if you included the bread and snacks at the start and the petit fours at the end. Each dish was simply exquisite and the local ingredients were delicate but full of punchy flavour at the same time. There was a good mix on both menus, with a selection of meat and fish dishes in mines. I'd like to review each dish separately however with a total of 20ish dishes between us that's a bit more difficult to do! You just have to take my word that each dish delivered real high quality cooking with locally sourced ingredients. The paired wines were also very well matched, the majority of which were Mallorquin with a few from mainland. The wines were also chosen to suit the differences in each menu rather than the same wine for each stage of the menu, this was a really nice touch that made the meal individual to us both but at the same time making the overall dining experience cohesive and well thought out. The staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and the wines, and they made us feel very relaxed but at the same time very special, which sometimes is hard to do in a traditional Michelin white tablecloth environment. All in all it was a fantastic experience with many exceptional moments throughout, and although it was slightly more on the expensive side, we thought the price was actually very fair considering the talent of the chef, the quality of the ingredients, and the uniqueness of the wines. Also, compared to other Michelin guide or starred reaurants we've been to, the price was actually very reasonable in this regard.

The overall experience herr was just wonderful - especially the seating was very beautiful. dishes of a fine standard and solidly crafted - serving speed also very well coordinated.

An incredible experience from start to finish. We arrived early, and went to the bar for a drink before hand. It's an incredible setting, with the massive old olive presses still remaining and really adding to the room. The drinks are good, and well priced, and the service was excellent. We headed over to the restaurant, where we were greeted and given a choice of tables. The room for the restaurant was rather lack lustre compared to the bar, which was disappointing, but didn't detract from the meal. The menu is quirkily presented in an envelope, and offers four options: vegetarian or meat and each of those come as either 6 or 8 courses, priced at 66 and 88 Euros respectively. We opted for the vegetarian course of 8 dishes. The food was very good: not the 'best food I've ever had' good, but a really interesting take on some Mallorcan dishes. The wine was good, although at between 15 and 20 EUR a glass, it wasn't cheap. Food is finished off with a shot of a liqueur made from their own orchard, which is a nice touch. Throughout the night, the service was second to none. Staff opened every door, predicted your every request and, ultimately, they made the night the five star experience. I'd go back again for sure and would recommend this spot for anyone looking for a special evening.

Our dinner at 365 was enjoyable, but not terribly memorable. The ambiance was superb, of course, as we had a table in the garden by the pool with a superb view of the surrounding olive groves and vineyards. The menu was pretty standard for a Relais property, without taking any risks. Unfortunately, the sommelier was an iPad that refused to work despite our best efforts (and those of our waiter). I’m sure this is a cost-saving measure, but you can’t fire an iPad. We ended up ordering a random glass of house wine, which was drinkable. Overall, this is not a good value proposition considering most Michelin-starred restaurants on the island have a similar price point and arguably better, more innovative cuisine. But for a relaxed, low-key romantic dinner al fresco, 365 is an acceptable choice. Your date will be impressed.

Beautiful setting and great food! The staff was super friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend and will come back - set menu is very reasonably priced as well, with all locally sourced food. Great Mallorcan experience!

Incredible, enchanting atmosphere. This restaurant is located in the Son Brull hotel, with magical views. The menu is delivered in an envelope, which was a nice touch, but mine already looked consumed. The food tasted very good, but given the reviews and marketing, I honestly had much higher expectations, especially for the vegetarian menu. The meat menu was very good overall. However, everything was presented beautifully. I appreciated the special surprises in between the courses, and their respect to local farming and ingredients. The staff really tried their best and the service was great at the start when we were rather alone, but you could tell that they were overwhelmed with the full occupancy, which also affected the service at the end.
